Trading Trends Today, Read From India
The day's biggest market stories, updated daily — with the IST clock and the dollar step that decide what they mean from India.
Reading a global feed from an Indian desk
The instruments below are the ones global desks quote — crude, the dollar, gold, the major indices — and every one of them is priced in US dollars on markets that are asleep or awake at different points of an Indian day. Nothing in the feed is India-specific, and that is exactly the point: the story that moves a rupee-funded CFD account is made in London and New York and reaches an Indian screen at a fixed, calculable offset. The two sections under the feed give that offset and the currency step that sits behind it.

The trading day, converted to IST
IST is UTC+05:30 and never changes. London and New York each change their clocks twice a year, on their own dates rather than India's, so the offsets below shift by an hour for part of the year while the Indian side of the table stays still.
| Anchor | IST, March to November | IST, November to March |
|---|---|---|
| London session opens (08:00 London) | 12:30 | 13:30 |
| New York equity session opens (09:30 New York) | 19:00 | 20:00 |
| New York equity session closes (16:00 New York) | 01:30 next day | 02:30 next day |
| MetaTrader server city, Equinix NY4 New York | 9h30m behind IST | 10h30m behind IST |
| cTrader server city, London | 4h30m behind IST | 5h30m behind IST |
Offsets computed from the IANA zones Asia/Kolkata, America/New_York and Europe/London. The broker publishes where its servers physically sit, not the clock they display, so confirm the server time in your own terminal before timing anything against it.
Every number on this page is a dollar number
A headline move in crude or in an index is a move in dollars. What it is worth to a reader in India also depends on the rupee rate that day, and nothing here quotes it. IC Markets lists ten account base currencies — USD, AUD, EUR, GBP, SGD, NZD, JPY, CHF, HKD and CAD — and the rupee is absent from that list, so an account opened from India settles in a foreign currency whatever it trades. The broker's funding page publishes local bank routes for Thailand and Vietnam only; there is no Indian route on it, and the cross-border methods that are listed (cards, PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, UnionPay and wire transfer) all price the rupee step at the card issuer or bank rather than at the broker, which charges no deposit or withdrawal fee of its own.
Before acting on anything in the feed
An Indian resident who opens an account is contracting with Raw Trading Ltd, the Seychelles entity holding FSA Securities Dealer licence SD018, and IC Markets appears as entry 22 on the Reserve Bank of India's Alert List, revised 19 November 2025. The RBI has separately stated that remittances for margin trading with an overseas counterparty are not a permitted purpose under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, which is the Foreign Exchange Management Act channel most retail transfers use. Read both at rbi.org.in rather than in summary. A story being loud is not a reason to trade it, this page states no legal position, and CFD trading carries a high risk of losing money.
